He llegado

After countless hours of traveling and sitting in airports, I have finally arrived in the beautiful Sevilla. The weather is about 60 degrees and sunny with palm trees outside the window of my hotel!

I began my day flying out in Minneapolis on the smallest plane I have ever been on and spent most of the day in Chicago. The best part of my layover was meeting up with Paige Hermes, my lovely roommate and fellow world traveler on her way to Paris for the week. I decided that the whole 8 hour plane ride thing just wasn't my favorite after dozing on and off for most of the ride and not feeling at all rested...it might have helped if I had remembered that the seats recline a little before it was time to descend! But I'm hanging in there with not a lot of sleep, hoping to power through until it is a more acceptable bed time in my new home.

Still no word on who my host family is...and still a strange feeling not having any idea what my family will be like for the next four months.

Also still no word on the whereabouts of my luggage...uh oh! Apparently it only decided to get to Madrid. I have been told that it should arrive at my hotel tonight...or at least I think that is what I have been told. Being thrown into the fast Spanish speaking of the natives has been somewhat exhausting but mostly exciting!

Well enough of this computer stuff! It is roughly 4 o'clock in the afternoon here, the sun is shining and I think I might pay a visit to the famous Plaza de España. I've been told it is featured in Star Wars 2: Attack of the Clones. Of course my dad would be disappointed to know that I have never seen it, but hey now I get to experience one of the scenes first hand! Motivation to watch maybe?

Adiós for now!
